Why???

Do women love shoes? Now I know not all women do but ALOT do...I would be one of those women. Some love pocketbooks (me not so much)but a cute shoe...yeah that tugs at my wallet. Well I bought 5 (yes FIVE) pair of shoes the other day ...got them all for less than $100! Shopping like that keeps Brian from freaking out on me when the big box arrives with the shoes. I bought 5 pair of pumps. One black with a cork heel, one black with side slits, one brown velvet mule (very cute), one brown peep toe open back and lastly these....

I LOVE these shoes....now I have to find a dress to match....and don't roll your eyes at me....alot of people buy their shoes before they buy their outfit!!!

Doing as I'm told

I read this blog daily. It is Mercy Me's blog (okay Sarah don't disown me!). Bart has got to be one of the funniest people ever. Well I have an assignment....to tell others about this great blog....so I have...now quit reading this one and go here!

Girlfriends rock

Well if you read this you probably are one of those girlfriends that rock! I just bought plane tickets to go to Oklahoma in October. I am going to go to 4 Third Day shows that weekend....yes I've lost what little mind I have ....

Brian will be out of the country and he told me I could go see my girlfriends in Oklahoma and Texas. So....here I come! I am very excited about this....wow...I'm really going....today is awesome!

Brian comes home tomorrow too....I miss him.

Never fails

Well it never fails. Whenever Brian leaves town for a while I end up doing something either really dumb or I hurt myself. It always happens. I've busted my head open when he was gone. I've fallen off a horse while he is gone. And today I locked my keys in my car. Not too big of a deal right? Well...the car was running (yeah gas is $3.50 a gallon and I decide to WASTE it!) and my house keys are in the car (the house is now locked since I closed the door to go to work) and my cell phone is located in my purse that would be located inside the said locked car.....yeah...great way to start the day. I had to go next door at 7am and use Ms Williams' telephone to call my mom. She had a key to my house (I don't like the idea of leaving a key outside but I'm rethinking the idea). Now while waiting for my mom I realize that I also have Brian's keys in my purse and they have the other car key on them.....great just great. Mom gets to the house and I go inside praying that I have the master car key in my dresser drawer where I believe I put it years ago...Hallelujah and the angels sang...I got in my car and was only 30 minutes late for work. So goes my life....

So how was your day?

I want....

My laptop back!!!! Yes I know I've posted already today but I just wanted to vent. I sent my laptop to PA to get fixed. The power source plug in the back was loose and I actually had to hold the power plug while using it (makes it quite difficult to work). It is a HP stupid design....well I've been without my laptop now for 3 weeks. I have an OLD let me repeat OLD PC that I'm on right now...what a pain. Nothing is updated (it was a cheap model that we bought before we could afford the laptops) and I can't open half of my files because they are newer versions than this computer has on the hard drive....it's very irritating. I really like my laptop but when it dies I'm going MAC...no more HP nothing!

okay you may return to whatever more important you were doing....

Long day

Man I am tired. It is kinda strange...I get more sleep when I work midnight shift than when I work day shift...go figure. I am just tired. I get up at 4:45am! to get the dogs up and out then eat breakfast while reading the Bible or doing my Bible study. Then take a shower and be out the door no later than 6:30. Be at work by 7am. This week I am working in Traffic Court (not my usual courtroom) and it wears you out. There were 957 people on the docket today (yes you read that right). Tomorrow is about the same but Wednesday there are over 1200 people on the docket. It is just tiring to hear the same stories and say the same things over and over and over again. My brain doesn't want to function afterwards. I need to balance my checkbook this week and pay bills...not sure that will happen because I can't seem to think clearly after dealing with so many people all day. To top it all off there is a bad thunderstorm rolling through here and my dogs (I have 4) are freakin' out. They do not like the rain and thunder and cannot be consoled...they pace and pant and drive me crazy. Sooooo what do I do? I get on the internet to check email. I make chocolate chip cookies and eat more than I should and soon I will go to bed and start my day again tomorrow at 4:45am!

Disappointment

It is a shame when we allow someone else to hamper our studying God's word. That's what I allowed to happen last night. Last night Brian and I went to see a prominent Pastor (not mentioning names)speak. When he introduced the worship band he mentioned his son's names and then "two other guys that go to my church". What??? You are the Pastor of your church, you travel the country with these people and you can't remember their names? The "two other guys" just looked at each other as if to say "what the heck?". That was the beginning. Next the band had sound issues that showed they had not practiced beforehand. Then the Pastor stood in between the pews to talk (not usually an issue for me) and the sound system was horrible. I understood about every third word he said. Lastly, there was a lady with a crying baby (which I believe she should have removed) and the Pastor stopped and said QUOTE..."lady I can't preach with that crying baby...usher you need to do something about that right now before I continue". I was done then....yes she should have the sense to take the baby out and the ushers probably should have said something to her but the Pastor's tone was demeaning and rude. Well to say the least I let all that ruin what God wanted me to probably hear. Yes I still listened to the message (which was GOD IS IN CONTROL from Acts 12) but not with the right attitude or heart.

Although I let that happen, God did get my attention when the Pastor said "my inability to fathom a solution to my problems does not in any way limit or stifle God's ability to see me through those problems and to do the most good for me while bringing me through my problems".....in other words God is in control and I can rest in that fact.

Be blessed! I know I am!

Back again

Well I left here for a while but I'm back. Why? Because I have alot of blogs I like to read lately and Vox only allows you to have 5 links. FIVE? Who only has five friends? Okay I guess that would be some people but I am blessed to have more and I want to keep in touch with them so.....I can put all the links I need on here and visit them daily (okay not daily but at least more often than I do now). So....I will try to post more and be somewhat entertaining but don't count on it.

Have a great day!
